What a Rebranded MBDA Means to the MBDA Federal Procurement Center

I know firsthand the empowering impact a rebrand can have on one's psyche. For those of us in the "Entrepreneurial Geek Squad," a rebrand stimulates an emotional rise! It's the next level, coming out bigger, stronger, and bolder. A rebrand ignites a level of resiliency that becomes a force of nature.

After 23 years as CEO of KDM & Associates, LLC, in January 2024, I felt the need for a corporate rebrand. There was nothing wrong with the old brand—A Team Approach to Your Success—but rebranding to A Total Team Approach to Our Client and Our Customer's Success felt most appropriate. In other words, I have always operated by building teams as our approach to successfully supporting our clients.

As the operator of the nation's only MBDA Federal Procurement Center, with the welcomed weight of executive orders designed to inspire new levels of revenue growth and expansion for small, emerging, and minority-owned businesses under our purview, I recognized a deeper responsibility to work even more closely with our customer—the federal agencies and small, emerging, and minority-owned businesses trying to establish or expand their contract footprint in the federal sector. Hence, our rebrand. So, what does a rebranded MBDA mean to the MBDA Federal Procurement Center?

MBDA’s Rebrand: A Milestone of Empowerment, Resiliency, and Opportunity

The MBDA rebrand gives the MBDA FPC and all MBDA centers a reason to pursue shared outcomes for our clients' success. The rebrand brings about a unification that can only be achieved in partnership with our 122 MBDA centers across the country. This newly rebranded celebration of resiliency will ensure the growth of America's small, emerging, and minority-owned businesses. In collaboration with federal agencies across the government, America can look forward to an increasing supplier base and emerging small business innovative solutions, ensuring efficient and effective outcomes in both new markets of industry and the modernization of government.

To me, the rebranding of MBDA symbolizes a significant milestone that marks the agency’s continuous commitment to empowering small, emerging, and minority-owned businesses. Since its inception, MBDA has been at the forefront of facilitating access to federal and government contracts, creating a platform where diversity and business growth converge. This rebranding is not just a reflection of the agency’s past achievements but also a beacon of future opportunities as a permanent agency.

The MBDA rebrand initiative has inspired me to double down on efforts to build collaborations with the new APEX (another rebrand). I am further energized by the rebrand to equip businesses with the necessary knowledge and skills to navigate the complex landscape of federal procurement. From workshops on writing winning proposals to seminars on compliance and new federal regulations, our educational outreach has been a catalyst for empowerment. The MBDA rebrand has ignited a pursuit for Tigers who are ferociously bold, timelessly resilient, and all about winning on behalf of our clients. So, if you have Tiger instincts, the MBDA Federal Procurement Center, under our rebrand, is looking for you!

Keith Moore, Operator, MBDA Federal Procurement Center
