About Us

In an exciting development for the large Prime Government Contractors community, the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) network, and small, emerging, and Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) across the country, the MBDA Federal Procurement Center (FPC) is officially transitioning its operations to KDM & Associates, LLC. This transition marks a strategic realignment, bringing new leadership, fresh initiatives, and stronger partnerships to better support the escalating demand for shovel-ready, small and emerging businesses to address the Nation’s supply chain requirements. Historical data confirms that small and minority owned businesses have consistently faced barriers to entry in the Federal acquisition sector. As such, the Federal Procurement Center’s suite of Government contracting support services will remain accessible, but with an even greater focus on empowering – through intense capacity building, mentorship, and defined support services to achieve sustainable success.

What Works News U Can Use Newsletter - May 2024

The opening of May brings May showers of Government contracting success for our small, emerging, and minority owned businesses, in great part because of our traveling from state to state to seed the contractor community with guidance, and fertilize contract opportunities.  This May edition takes a moment to congratulate the Federal OSDBUs which have announced and celebrated high marks for achieving and exceeding their Small Business goals. CONGRATULATIONS.

In this May edition, we bring the What Works News U Can Use Letter’s featured MBDA FPC client – Jackson and Tull (www.jnt.com) – a full-service technology company that provides services in the areas of aerospace, manufacturing, national security, robotics, civil engineering, and information systems.  This Renaissance U.S. manufacturer located in Washington, DC was founded in 1974 by two friends, Frederick Jackson and Knox Tull.  The late Frederick Jackson, P.E., R.A. (born in 1928) was raised in Washington and received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Howard University.  Mr. Jackson had the rare distinction of being both a registered professional engineer (P.E.) and a registered architect (R.A.).
