The Federal Procurement Center – under the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) – has a critical mission to support the 9.7 Million Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) throughout the Nation in gaining access to and succeeding in performing Government contracts.
Ms. Joan Davion, Principal of The Davion Group, LLC, manages the vision and direction of her firm. Ms. Davion’s experience is derived from over 17 years of providing comprehensive accounting and tax services to a diverse cross-section of clients. She has built and maintained a core client base of private sector, government, and non-profit clients through varying stages of startup and growth, as well as many consumer clients.
Ms. Davion's mission is to help businesses, non-profits, and individuals gain a better understanding of sound financial practices and to provide the tools necessary to help clients better manage day to day financial needs. She diligently works to understand their stories, and she implements solutions for better managing cash flow, addressing tax concerns, and helping clients see where their business stands financially. Ms. Davion treats every client with respect and integrity, and she is a champion for them reaching their financial goals.
Ms. Davion has a passion for the black community as well as the community of color learning how to better manage this money game. She has more than 30 years of personal experience around financial management. that makes her well versed in the challenges we face as well as well as tools and tips to make us all better equipped to win at this game.
Ms. Davion earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Strayer University. The Davion Group staff constantly continues its education and training in tax and accounting to adhere to changing federal, state, and local regulations. Ms. Davion is a member of Virginia Society of CPAs MAPP Group.
Ms. Davion, formerly co-Founded the Northern Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce (NVBCC) where she also served as Treasurer. Currently Ms. Davion volunteers as the board president for Rockledge Clusters Condominium in Woodbridge, Virginia
